Grilled onions

The Borettana onion, a yellow bulb in a flattened shape, small and thin skinned with firm, ivory white and tasty flesh. This onion variety, native to the Emilia Romagna region and in particular of Boretto (where it has been cultivated since 1400), is perfect for preservation in oil and for pickling.
